Commodity Calculators Coming

OMAHA (DTN) -- Sometime later this year farmers may rely heavily on website calculators to help choose their new commodity program for the next five years.

USDA has $3 million to help fund those web tools. As the department gets close to deciding which universities will get some of those funds, people are expressing the need to ensure that a particular bias for a regional crop, commodity program or crop insurance doesn't unduly influence those decision tools.
