Russia, Ukraine Exports Up for Year

MOSCOW (Dow Jones) -- Russia's grain export between July 1, 2013, the beginning of the current marketing year, and June 11, totaled 24.983 million metric tons, which was 61.1% more than in the corresponding period in the previous marketing year, while Ukraine's grain exports continue to outstrip last year's levels as crops in the previous season were damaged by drought, the agriculture ministry reported Tuesday.

The exported grains included 18.15 million tons of wheat, 3.973 million tons of corn, 2.538 million tons of barley and 322,000 tons of other minor grains.
