Ethanol futures posted light gains following lackluster buying seen in the corn market Thursday. August ethanol futures posted a 0.9-cent-per-gallon boost, moving the front-month contract to $2.109 a gallon. With traders now focused on the potential for a direction shift to be seen in the corn market given the last few trading sessions, buyers in the ethanol market are cautiously optimistic of light to moderate price support over the near future. All other nearby contracts posted similar but narrow gains Thursday.
