Cooler weather has aided cow comfort in the Central region, allowing milk production to remain steady. This helps during this time of the year when generally hot weather prevails. The same holds true for the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions. Bottling demand is increasing, resulting in prices for extra milk increasing as much at $2 over class. Manufacturers would like to have more milk in order to supply the escalating cheese and butter markets.
