Dairy Market News reports that milk production in the Central region was steady to higher in most cases. Mild temperatures improved cow comfort allowing for a slight rebound. Milk production in the West is holding well in California, although declining seasonally. Other western states report more pronounced declines due to hot weather. Farm profitability remains strong and looks a bit better this month than last. The milk/feed ratio in July improved to a ratio of 2.44.
