Milk futures closed the day mixed, similar to how they had been throughout the day. Increasing cash prices did not create sufficient excitement to push futures higher. Milk production across the country is steady to trending lower seasonally. Summer weather continues to have an impact. So even with grain prices weakening and good feed availability, weather has the final say as to milk production depending on cow comfort. Bottling demand is a bit sluggish as usual during this time.
