Milk production has settled down following the usual summer pattern. Hot weather in some areas of the country has impacted milk output. However, cooling measures are reducing the impact on cow comfort. The Midwest has been having short bouts of hot, humid weather followed by cooler weather, resulting in limited impact on cow comfort. Good crop conditions and less expensive feed are keeping cows full and milk production strong. Bottling demand is lighter, but steady with extra milk available for manufacturing.
