Milk production across the country seems to have stabilized. Higher temperatures in the Southeast are having an impact, but overall production remains higher than last year. The substantial decline of milk futures this week dims the outlook for milk prices to move above $22.00 again, but there still is half of the year to go. Milk prices are generally higher in the second half of the year as demand increases. This year could be a different story, as prices could come under pressure as milk production increases.
