Class III futures showed more strength as the day wore on. August through April contracts established new highs into the close. Trading volume was relatively thin, allowing for both buying interest and short-covering to be magnified. There is now a premium to the underlying cash in closer months. The Class III price calculation at the end of spot trading Monday was $21.32. There will still be quite a bit of fluctuation in underlying cash prices with futures contracts rising and falling accordingly.
