Cotton futures finished mixed Friday, closing lower in spot July and higher in the rest of the market as fund rolling of longs from the front contract continued on increased volume.

July settled down 72 points to 84.78 cents, a new low close since January and just off the low of the session's 96-point range from up 18 points at 85.68 to down 78 points at 84.72 cents. The Goldman roll began Friday and is to continue through next Thursday.
