OMAHA (DTN) -- The following are highlights from the weekly crop report from Saskatchewan Agriculture, for the period May 27 to June 2. The report was issued June 5.

Significant seeding progress was made this week, according to Saskatchewan Agriculture's Weekly Crop Report. The report said 78% of the crop is now seeded, compared to 83% last year at this time. However, this is slightly ahead of the five-year (2009-2013) average of 76%. Rain continues to delay seeding progress for many producers and warm and dry weather is needed to finish seeding.
