Wis. Senator: Limit Propane Exports

STREATOR, Ill. (DTN) -- In the wake of frigid weather generating robust demand and a supply squeeze that has spiked propane prices, U.S. Senator Tammy Baldwin has asked President Barack Obama to limit propane exports.

In a letter dated Jan. 25, Baldwin, D-Wis., said in light of the propane shortage in the Midwest and Northeast, "I urge you to take action immediately to moderate exports to ensure American consumers have the fuel they need to keep warm through this winter."
