Showers and thunderstorms with moderate to locally heavy rain were noted in the eastern Great Lakes and far eastern Midwest Tuesday afternoon, as well as in portions of the Southeast. Otherwise, dry conditions were featured in the primary U.S. and Canadian Prairie crop regions. Temperatures ranged from the mid 50s in western Michigan to the mid 90s in south-central Texas.
