Light to moderate rain will cover much of the eastern Midwest and portions of the Southeast Tuesday. Other primary U.S. and Canadian Prairie crop regions will be dry. Temperatures will be mild in most areas, and hot in the southern sections. Warmer temperatures recently have favored crop development in the northern areas. This combination remains mostly favorable for row crops moving through the latter portion of the summer season.

Highs: 70s eastern Midwest; 80s elsewhere except 90s in central and southern Texas, Deep South and Southeast.
