Showers and thunderstorms dotted the Delta and Southeast Friday afternoon, with light showers in the southeastern Midwest and southwestern Plains also noted. A few isolated showers were featured as well in the north-central Plains, and moderate to locally heavy rain developed in the western Canadian Prairies. Other primary U.S. and Prairies crop regions were dry. Temperatures ranged from the mid-60s in the South Dakota Black Hills to 100 in northern Texas.
