Showers and thunderstorms dotted the Delta and Southeast Friday afternoon, with light showers in the southeastern Midwest and southwestern Plains also noted. A few isolated showers were featured as well in the north-central Plains, and moderate to locally heavy rain developed in the western Canadian Prairies. Other primary U.S. and Prairies crop regions were dry. Temperatures ranged from the mid-60s in the South Dakota Black Hills to 100 in northern Texas.

During Saturday, light rain will develop in the northwestern Midwest and continue in the Delta and Southeast, with light rain in the central and eastern Prairies. Temperatures will continue ...
