Light to moderate rain was featured in the northern Midwest and portions of the Northern Plains Monday afternoon, along with scattered areas of the Canadian Prairies. Otherwise, major crop areas were dry. Temperatures ranged from the mid 60s in southwestern North Dakota to the mid 90s in southern Texas. Lower 90s were noted as far north as western Nebraska.

During Tuesday, light to moderate rain will be widespread in the Northern Plains and the central Midwest along with the Prairies. A dry pattern will be in effect elsewhere with another round of heat in the Southern Plains, Delta, and Southeast. ...
