Showers and thunderstorms were noted in much of the eastern Midwest and in scattered areas of the northern Midwest Friday afternoon. Rain activity also formed in the Delta, western Texas, and the northwestern Plains. Dry conditions covered the balance of the primary U.S. and Canadian Prairie crop regions. Temperatures ranged from the upper 60s in northern Michigan to the mid 90s in southern Texas.
