Moderate to heavy rain is in store for the Delta and the Texas-Louisiana coastal bend Friday, with dry conditions elsewhere in the primary U.S. and Canadian Prairie crop regions. Temperatures will be mild for the season in the Midwest, Southern Plains and Delta, while the Northern Plains and northern Midwest experience much warmer trends than seen recently. This overall weather combination continues to favor crop progress and development along with ongoing wheat harvest in the western Plains.

Highs: Mostly 70s/80s; some 90s northwestern Plains and southern Texas.
