Scattered showers and thunderstorms occurred Wednesday through west-central, southwest and southern areas of the Plains crop belt. Showers and thunderstorms were also reported in Florida Wednesday. Dry elsewhere in key U.S. and Canada crop areas. Temperatures ranged from the upper 60s in the west-central Plains and also the eastern Great Lakes region to the upper 90s over southwest Texas.
