Showers and thunderstorms were prominent in central and southeastern Texas Wednesday afternoon. Showers were also noted in the far western Plains, Delta and eastern Midwest. Another area of moderate to heavy rain was featured in the Northeast, where flooding has taken place the last couple days. In the Canadian Prairies, shower cells developed in Saskatchewan and Alberta. Temperatures ranged from the upper 40s in northeastern Minnesota to the low 90s in southern Texas.
