Light to moderate rain is in store Wednesday for the central and southeastern Plains, eastern Midwest, and Gulf Coast. A few light showers are also headed for the Canadian Prairies, with dry conditions elsewhere in the primary U.S. and Prairie crop regions. Temperatures will be mild for the season in all areas. Crop conditions are favorable except for some harvest disruptions in Plains wheat areas due to showers.

Highs: 70s Prairies, northeastern Plains, northern Midwest; 80s elsewhere except 90s in western Texas and the South Carolina coast.
