Showers with light to moderate rain were noted in northeastern Minnesota, central and southern Missouri and northeastern Texas Thursday afternoon. The rest of the primary U.S. and Canadian Prairie crop regions were dry. Temperatures ranged from the upper 40s in northern Minnesota to the mid 90s in far southern Texas.

Friday will bring more rain to the Delta and southeastern Midwest. Other areas will be drier; however, a new weather system forming in the Canadian Rockies will cross into the Northern Plains and northern Midwest Friday night and be a new rain-maker for the weekend.
