Showers and thunderstorms were noted through the central Midwest into the Delta and Deep South Tuesday afternoon. Severe storm chances were also featured in the Deep South. Meanwhile, light rain was featured in the far Northern Plains, and showers also occurred in the western and northern Canadian Prairies. The balance of the primary U.S. and Canadian Prairie crop regions were dry. Temperatures ranged from the low 60s in northeastern Missouri to the mid 90s in far southern Texas and along the South Carolina coast.
