OMAHA (DTN) -- Benign conditions in the Midwest, and a chance for rain next week in the northern crop areas, are the primary weather items for the commodity trade's attention Tuesday.

BENEFICIAL MIDWEST TREND

The DTN ag weather forecast calls for continued rounds of showers and thunderstorms during the next seven to 10 days, along with variable temperatures, which will favor filling corn and soybeans.

VARIABLE OUTLOOK IN SOUTHERN PLAINS

In the Southern Plains, lower temperatures and scattered rains will favor filling to maturing corn and soybeans at this time. Hotter weather may redevelop later in the seven-day period.
