OMAHA (DTN) -- Showers for the Midwest, and a milder weather trend in the northern crop areas, are the primary weather items for the commodity trade's attention Monday.

FAVORABLE MIDWEST PATTERN

The DTN ag weather forecast calls for scattered showers and thunderstorms during the next seven to 10 days along with near to below normal temperatures. This pattern will again favor filling corn and soybeans.

MILD PATTERN FOR SOUTHERN PLAINS

In the Southern Plains, lower temperatures and scattered rains will favor filling to maturing corn and soybeans at this time.
