OMAHA (DTN) -- A mixed rainfall pattern for the Midwest and weekend heat in the Southern Plains are the primary weather items for the commodity trade's attention Friday.

VARIABLE MIDWEST RAINFALL

The DTN ag weather forecast calls for showers in central and eastern areas of the Midwest to maintain adequate soil moisture for corn and soybeans. Drier with a hotter trend in the western areas is bringing on some stress concerns, particularly in soybeans. Temperatures most of the time will average near to below normal.
