The northern branch of the jet features a blocking ridge to the north of Alaska. Some ridging over northwest Canada. The polar vortex over north-central and northeast Canada. And a weak blocking ridge over southern Greenland. This is a warm/hot pattern over western Canada, mild/cool central, warm in the east.
