GENERAL COMMENTS:

The cash cattle trade is limited to the distribution of news showlists. The new offering appears generally larger than last week with only Texas taking fewer numbers. Some producers have suggested asking prices of $128-plus in the South and $203-plus in the North. According to the midday report, the negotiated cash trade of dressed Iowa barrow and gilts is called $2.15 higher ($71-86.10, weighted average $85.46).
