GENERAL COMMENTS:

Trade Friday in the livestock market once again is split down the cattle and hog market lines with moderate to strong support through both live and feeder cattle futures being offset by aggressive triple digit losses in nearby lean hog futures. Trade volume is expected to remain sluggish through the end of the session with current price ranges likely to hold. Corn futures are lower at midday. September corn futures are 5 cents per bushel lower. Stock markets are higher in light trade. The Dow Jones is 120 points higher while Nasdaq is up 55 points.
