GENERAL COMMENTS:

Sharp gains have redeveloped in lean hog futures Thursday. This lack of support is based on position squaring and general uncertainty in front of the supply report released on Friday. Cattle futures are mixed to higher with support building through morning trade. Corn futures are lower at midday. September corn futures are holding 2 cent losses at midday. Stock markets are higher in light trade. The Dow Jones is 50 points higher while Nasdaq is up 25 points.
