DTN Midday Livestock Comments

GENERAL COMMENTS:

Livestock futures are under pressure with sharp losses in the lean hog futures market. Cattle futures are trading mixed in a narrow range with little focus being placed on short term supplies for the moment. Corn futures are higher at midday. September corn futures are holding 6 cent gains at midday. Stock markets are lwoer in light trade. The Dow Jones is 52 points lower while Nasdaq is down 22 points.
