GENERAL COMMENTS:

Livestock futures are holding moderate to strong losses as the weakness in the grain markets are limiting any short or long term support from developing. Traders are focusing on the potential of increased meat supplies given lower grain markets. Corn futures are lower at midday. September corn futures are holding 10 cent losses at midday. Stock markets are mixed in light trade. The Dow Jones is 51 points lower while Nasdaq is up 3 points.
