DTN Midday Livestock Comments

GENERAL COMMENTS:

Cattle futures are mixed in light trade with narrow ranges seen at midday. The focus on inactivity in the cash market is being overshadowed by corn markets stabilizing following the USDA crop report. Lean hog futures are mostly lower, although trade remains sluggish. Corn futures are higher at midday. September corn futures are holding 3 cent higher at midday. Stock markets are higher in light trade. The Dow Jones is 124 points lower while Nasdaq is up 50 points.
