According to the midday report, the Iowa hog base compared with the Prior Day's closing weighted average is 0.74 lower ($89.00 to $101.00, weighted averaged, $98.81). The National base compared with the Prior Day's closing weighted average is $1.15 lower ($89.00 to $101.00, weighted average $97.72). Cash cattle traders are once again saving themselves for Friday business. Besides a few scattered bids noted in parts of Nebraska ($117 live, $190-191 dressed), feedlot country is dead quiet. Most showlists seemed to be priced around $122 in the South and $195-196 plus in the North. Corn futures are 1-6 cents ...
