GENERAL COMMENTS:

Moderate pressure has held through the livestock market as traders focus more on outside markets through the morning than any other factor. Traders are looking for increased support from beef and pork values at the end of the session, which could help to draw end-of-the-day buying back into both cattle and lean hog markets. Corn futures are lower at midday. July corn futures are holding 3-cent losses at midday. Stock markets are lower in active trade. The Dow Jones is 205 points lower while Nasdaq is down 52 points.
