GENERAL COMMENTS:

Livestock futures remain mixed to mostly higher on Monday. Strong gains have quickly overcome the cattle complex, following firm support from outside markets as well as developing beef prices support in the boxed beef report. Lean hog futures are mixed in a narrow range as traders continue to focus on the direction of cash hog values. Corn futures are higher at midday. July corn futures are holding 12 cent gains at midday. Stock markets are higher in light trade. The Dow Jones is 166 points higher while Nasdaq is up 41 points.
