DTN Midday Livestock Comments

GENERAL COMMENTS:

Livestock futures are generally higher at midday with sharp gains seen in the feeder cattle complex. The continued widespread pressure in the grain market has allowed for some commercial and noncommercial interest to step back into the livestock futures market. Corn futures are trading sharply lower at midday in active trade. May corn futures are holding 42 cent gains at midday. Stock markets are lower in light trade. The Dow Jones is 22 points lower while Nasdaq is down 29 points.
