DTN Midday Livestock Comments

GENERAL COMMENTS:

Livestock futures have rallied higher Thursday as the lean hog futures market once again moved to the front of the line. Nearby lean hog futures are holding gains well over $2 per cwt as the bearishness seen earlier in the week is being replaced by buying activity. Corn futures are trading lower at midday in light trade. May corn futures are holding 3 cent losses at midday. Stock markets are higher in light trade. The Dow Jones is 42 points higher while Nasdaq is up 6 points.
