The expiration of the February options (priced off March futures) last Friday relieves some concern the market has for traders offsetting their positions in futures with options (puts and calls). Markets often resume the basic trend following such expiration. If so, that would spell a resumption of the uptrend that began with the Jan. 11 stocks report.
