I don't have a lot of holiday traditions, preferring instead to see what each year brings. But one I try to hold to is a reading of Charles Dickens' "A Christmas Carol" sometime between Thanksgiving and Christmas. It's a short story, requiring an evening, maybe two, at the most to complete. And though the story is well known, as is its main character, Ebenezer Scrooge, portrayed by acting talent ranging from Jim Carrey to George C. Scott (including Mr. Magoo and Scrooge McDuck), there are certain lines in the piece that aren't as easily remembered, but classics of literature.
