General Comments:

Corn closed up 1 3/4 cents in the September contract and up 3/4 cent in the December. Soybeans closed down 24 3/4 cents in the August contract and down 13 3/4 cents in the November. Wheat closed down 8 1/2 cents in the September Chicago contract, down 10 1/2 cents in the September Kansas City, and down 7 1/4 cents in the September Minneapolis. The September U.S. dollar index is up .02 at 81.56. December gold is steady at $1,310.50 while September silver is down $.14 and September copper is down .0295.
