General Comments:

Corn closed down 9 1/4 cents in the September contract and down 5 3/4 cents in the December. Soybeans closed up 24 3/4 cents in the August and up 6 1/2 cents in the November. Wheat closed down 11 1/2 cents in the September Chicago contract, down 7 1/2 cents in the September Kansas City, and down 11 1/2 cents in the September Minneapolis. The September U.S. dollar index is up .07 at 83.23. August gold is up $4.00 at $1,281.60 while September silver is $.03 higher and September copper is $.0090 lower.
