Morning CME Globex Update: December corn is down 2 cents, November soybeans are down 11 1/2 cents, and December Chicago wheat is unchanged. Corn and soybeans are trading lower early Friday with traders showing reluctance to carry long positions over a three-day weekend while a military strike against Syria is possible. Friday's weather remains hot and dry for crops and livestock, especially hard on soybeans during their critical time of pod-filling. Temperatures will turn milder late this weekend, but the forecast remains dry. At 8 a.m., USDA announced that China bought 110,000 tons of new-crop soybeans.
