Morning CME Globex Update:July corn is unchanged, July soybeans up 6 cents, and July Chicago wheat is down 2 cents. Light to moderate rain on Thursday and Friday in the central Midwest will temporarily add to planting delays for corn. Dry conditions are forecast for the Southern Plains and the Dakotas. There was good news for the U.S. economy Thursday morning. U.S. jobless claims dropped to 323,000 last week, less than expected and the lowest in five years.
