General Comments

The U.S. stock markets are lower with the Dow down 40. The Interest rate products are flat to higher. The dollar index is 71 higher. Energies are lower with crude down $1.10. Livestock trade is higher. Precious metals are mixed with gold down $5.

CORN

Corn is 15-25 higher on old crop, and 5 to 8 higher on new crop at midday. The old crop tightness, illustrated again on the WASDE report Friday, coupled with the late plantings have the commercials concerned about sourcing late-summer corn.
