DTN Midday Grain Comments

General Comments

The U.S. stock market are higher at midday with the Dow 45 higher. The interest rate products are higher. The dollar index is 33 points lower. Energies are firmer, with crude up 0.75. Livestock trade is stronger lead by hogs. Precious metals are flat to higher with gold up 2.

Corn trade is 2 to 4 lower at midday due to some residual selling pressure and disappointing exports. Outside markets are mildly friendly. The USDA monthly World Agricultural Supply and Demands Estimates trade estimates for corn are for the domestic carryover to increase by about 10 million ...
