Question: I am milking a cow that had a clear, stretchy blob of mucus streaming off her tail/rear area. We don't have a bull. Two weeks ago, I bled her and sent it to Rocky Creek Veterinary Service for a progesterone test, and she was 60 days pregnant. Does this ovulatory mucus mean she has slipped a calf? Should I bleed her again and, if so, how long should I wait?
