DTN Weekly Distillers Grains Update

De-oiled modified distillers grains with solubles in a forage-based feeding program does not reduce energy value in beef calf diets, according to recent research at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

A feeding trial utilizing steer calves examined the energy value of de-oiled MDGS at two inclusions in a forage-based diet, according to James MacDonald, associate professor of ruminant nutrition at UNL.
