OMAHA (DTN) -- Farmers and livestock producers should be aware of the food safety risks of using manure or composted manure and follow tips to protect crops from potential contamination, according to the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture and Food.

Wayne Du, an on-farm food safety specialist, recently focused on the issue in the department's specialty crops blog.
