I love Twitter. Since I joined the social media site in 2010, I've found it to be a great way to get market-moving information quicker than anywhere else (it's where I first learned of Osama bin Laden's death, for instance). But I think its most interesting function is the way it promotes a sense of community among dispersed personalities who may be thousands of miles away from each other, who may never have met or shared their ideas in any other way, but have now found other people who, like them, care about some niche interest.
